Belief in Imagination

It was manifested spectacularly on 4 March 2006. It was witnessed by nearly 700 people, very lucky people who were alert enough to buy tickets within four days. Yes, that's how long it took us to sell out. That was Imperial College Malaysia Night 2006: The Writing's on the Wall. As my boss, the producer Stone said, it was the culmination of four months of planning and practice. As I sat behind my camera filming it all last night, I had to steel myself to not applaud and laugh with the audience amidst which I was positioned, lest I spoil the recording. The passion had spread throughout the hall with every act, every song (Alan, go cut an album and earn your way through college!), every dance performance and every funny line... that, in the end, is what M-Nite is all about, I guess. Sharing the passion, the product of a hundred creativities who believed in their imagination and made it come true.

I shall not forget last night. And neither, I suspect, will almost 700 people.

The writing's on the wall. Imperial's Malaysia Night is the best.
