I just finished watching Russia's 3-1 victory over Holland in the Euro 2008. Simply amazing stuff. I've been in love with the Dutch's attacking prowess and Russia has been no less breathtaking after bouncing back from their hiding by Spain.
What a deserved victory. Arshavin is doing magic on that pitch, and he makes it look so easy. Flatmate says Holland was being 'raped'. I think he's right. They simply had no answer to the Russian forays down the flanks; the defending there was not impressive and just didn't get better with time. If the Russian's hadn't been so wasteful, extra time wouldn't have been required in the first place......
... now for Spain vs Italy!
Technical part of post:
The match was on ITV, which there's no reception for where I live, so I streamed it over the Net and used my Thinkpad's TV-Out. I've noticed that the Thinkpad's Intel IGP does a better TV-Out than my main computer's ATI X1700. Probably a driver thing, but I've never had the main LCD display switch off during a TV-Out and never come back on when using the Thinkpad, while this plagues my Asus every time I stream... whatever to the TV.
