With the coming of the new year comes the raft of resolutions. I've made my fair share of them, and have kept nearly none of them. I read a couple of articles a few days ago on NYTimes.com about New Year's resolutions, why so few people successfully keep them and how to make resolutions that one can more easily keep, or rather, given one makes their resolutions as usual, how to formulate them such that they will be easier to keep.
So I'm going to try one or two things from there; this could be interesting (to me, not necessarily you =p):
The resolutions:
- Spend at least 4 hours a week outside of my College timetable studying or revising. This does not include time spent on coursework or the Final Year Project.
#1 boils down to: GET THAT FIRST-CLASS. - At least once every 2 weeks, go somewhere I haven't been before or take a completely different approach to a place I've visited.
One way to start #2: VISIT THE BRITISH MUSEUM - Write something meaningful in this blog at least once every 10 days.
Keep #2 and #3 at the same time by logging those things in this blog! - Make at least one call (or other form of contact) a week to a friend, preferably one with whom I'm losing touch.
- Go to the gym/play football at least once a week.
- Keep taking fantastic pictures and posting them on my Flickr site. Make that Pro Account worth it!
- Think more positively and see the good in people more often. Be happy more often and disappointed more infrequently.
- Sing to my heart's content.
- Decide what to do with my life, and what I really want. Life is more than reading, gaming, studying, photography and nice gadgets....

So I suppose, if I manage to remember to, there will be a review of these resolutions in February? Hahaha, we'll see.
